From a family kitchen to a national pantry.Palm Bites began in 2019 in a kitchen in Mississauga. Mariam Naim was hand-finishing chocolate-dipped dates for friends and family. The first order from a stranger came after a single Instagram post. The second came an hour later.Six years on, we're a vertically integrated manufacturer with an 18,000 sq ft facility, a boutique café, and a growing roster of retail and wholesale partners. GENERAL IS IT SAFE TO SHOP ON palmbites.ca? Yes it is. We use Shopify (NYSE:SHOP) as our e-commerce platform which hosts over 1 million other online stores. It uses a 256-bit SSL certificate to establish a secure encrypted connection. All pages, content, credit card, and transaction information is protected by the same level of security used by banks. Our site is also certified Level 1 PCI DSS compliant, the highest level of security certification. This certification signifies we are in compliance with standards for security policies, technologies and ongoing processes that protect our payment systems from breaches and theft of cardholder data. Based on the date and time location you chose, we will be there waiting for you. You will receive an email from us when you're order is ready for pickup, then you just come inside and we'll assist you from there. DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY? At this time, we only ship within Canada & USA. We hope to one day be able to ship worldwide, but not at this very moment. Very sorry for the inconvenience. WHERE ARE THE DATES SOURCED FROM? Our Deglet Nour Dates (One Bites) are sourced from Tunisia and our Medjool Dates (Two Bites) are sourced from Palestine. HOW CAN I PURCHASE A GIFT CARD? Super simple and easy to use. Click on gift card, choose the amount you'd like to purchase, complete your purchase, then you will get the gift card via email. WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY? Due to the nature of the items we sell, we do not issue refunds. However, if there are any issues with your order like if we shipped out the wrong size or flavour, or perhaps the package was damaged during shipment, please contact us and we'll make it right. We manufacture our products in house at our location in Mississauga, Ontario. ENERGY BITES HOW DO I STORE ENERGY BITES? Energy Bites can be stored at room temperature but we recommend refrigeration to ensure the best quality! HOW MANY ENERGY BITES DO I GET IN MY ORDER? Energy Bites now come in pouches that contain 5 Energy Bites per pouch. The Variety Pack comes with 5 pouches, one pouch of each flavour and the single flavours come with 3 pouches of the chosen flavour! WHAT FLAVOURS ARE AVAILABLE? Our Coffee is available as Whole Beans, Medium Grind, and Espresso Grind. DATE SQUARES HOW MANY SQUARES DO I GET IN AN ORDER? An order of Date Squares comes with 3 pouches, each pouch contains 3 Date Squares. 1 order comes with 9 Date Squares. The Chocolate Date Squares are also available in a larger size that has 2 pouches each containing 6 Chocolate Date Squares coming with 12 in total. HOW DO I STORE DATE SQUARES? Date Squares can be stored at room temperature, but we recommend you refrigerate them to keep your Date Squares as fresh as possible! WHAT IS THE SHELF LIFE OF DATE SQUARES? Date Squares have a shelf life of six months! DIAMOND ROSE ARE THE ROSES REAL? Our Roses are real roses that were preserved to last between 1-3 years. All materials used in preservation process are hypoallergenic, non-toxic, non-corrosive, non-carcinogenic. The solutions and colorants used are food and textile grade and do not pose a health or environmental risk. HOW LONG DO THEY LAST? Preserved roses last a minimum of 1 year, and usually go over 3 years based on testing and experience. Please do keep in mind these are real roses and they eventually die. Please follow the care instructions so they last the longest. HOW DO I CARE FOR THEM? Keep away from water and direct sunlight.• Recommended temperature: 18° to 22° C.• Your roses feel comfortable in their box. Please do not remove them.• Your roses aren’t for consumption either, it might be obvious to some, but we have to disclose this: please do not eat your roses.. PALM BITES WHAT IS A PALM BITE? A Palm Bite is a gourmet chocolate covered date, filled and coated with nuts or nut butters! We also produce Naked Palm Bites which is a two bite without any chocolate. ARE PALM BITES MADE WITH PALM OIL? Palm Bites and all other products are not made with Palm Oil, and do not come in contact with Palm Oil in our facilities WHAT TYPE OF CHOCOLATE ARE PALM BITES MADE WITH? Palm Bites are made using Vegan Dark Chocolate which contains: cocoa mass, cocoa butter, sugar, emulsifier: soya lecithin, natural vanilla flavouring. WHY ARE PALM BITES CALLED PALM BITES? Dates grow on Date Palm Trees! HOW DO I STORE PALM BITES? Palm Bites are best stored in a cool dry place, like your kitchen counter. No refrigeration required. CAN I CUSTOMIZE A BOX? Yes you can! WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ONE BITES AND TWO BITES The One Bite is a deglet noor date which are smaller, firmer and have a sweet taste, though not as sweet as the Two Bite Medjool Date. The Medjool Date is much sweeter and juicier than the Deglet noor date and is 2-4x bigger! HOW MANY DATES ARE IN ONE BOX? Two Bite Boxes: 500g Box contains 20-24 Bites (Pistachio, Hazelnut, Almond, Peanut Butter) One Bite Boxes: 450g Box contains 36 Palm Bites ARE THEY VEGAN? Palm Bites are vegan! They are also gluten free and certified kosher. ARE THERE PITS IN THE DATES? Palm Bites do not have pits in them, the dates are pitted before they are stuffed with nuts. WHAT IS THE SHELF LIFE? Nut Butters have a 3 month shelf life excluding our Peanut Butter which lasts 6 months! HOW CAN I USE NUT BUTTERS? Date Spreads are good for 1 year and only require refrigeration after opening. WHAT ARE THE SERVING SIZES? NUTS ARE THE NUTS SALTED? All nuts such as the Almonds, Cashews, Pistachios, Lemon Almonds etc, are roasted and salted unless otherwise stated on the product. WHAT DO MIX NUTS CONTAIN?
